Last night I was listening to the radio and the "Sunscreen" song came on [Everybody's Free (to wear sunscreen)]. In it it says, "The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday." Yesterday was Tuesday. It was close to noon local time, but I was idle (asleep). I didn't find out about what had happened until about 7pm local time.
Until now, it's been some other state, some other town. Now it's my state, just across town. I work with people who live next door to the school, who have family who attend Columbine.Fifteen dead, not twenty-five as speculated. Eighteen hospitalized in Serious Condition or worse. Thirty explosive devices found. A Million Questions.
