I drink in your spirit
Like the gods their life sustaining nectar.
Your strength glows from within
Like a fire upon the hearth.
Your visage is soft on the eyes
As your voice so gentle to the ear.
You would show your sorrow
But as soon reveal your mirth.
You hide not your true self
From those who know to look.
To those who have learned your language
You are an open book.
The wonder about you will not end
Though God may away from this earth you send.
Your love of life and of people
Sets you apart, you have no equal.
No matter how far or wide you may roam
We will always love you in this town you once called
Home.
