Hope you enjoy. Twas the night before Star Wars when all through the lot Not a creature was stirring, not even a ewok, The robes were hung by the chimney with care In hopes that Darth Maul would not soon be there, The padawans were nestled all snug in their bed While visions of light sabers danced in their heads, And Qui-Gonn in his robe and I in my sack Had just settled our brains for a long jedi trance, When out on the dune there arose such a clatter I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter, The moons on the breast of the new-fallen dune Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects on Tatoon, When, what to my wondering eyes couldn't deny But a miniature pod, and eight tiny jedi, With a little old driver, so lively and good I knew in a moment it must be Master Yoda, More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name: "Now, Adi! now, Depa! now Parael and Even! On, Yaddle! on Saesee! on, Ki Adi and Windu!" And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof, The prancing and pawing of each little boot. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, Down the chimney Master Yoda came with a bound. A bundle of light sabres he had flung on his back, And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And filled all the robes, then turned with a jerk. His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the look in his eyes it wasn't for show. The stump of a cane, he held as he walked, As he circled the room and started to talk. "Disturbance in the force, sensed I did in a trance, Off have I felt, in its natural balance. Though we crave not these things, Adventures will come, Your job Qui-Gonn, to find where this threat is from, Disagree if you must, with my actions or plans, You must follow my directions on this, on this all depends." And laying his finger aside of his nose, And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprang to his pod, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, "May the Force be with you all, On this Phantom Menace Night!"
