Looks like the old guard of 'costumed' characters is about to fall. Lucas is toying with the idea of having Artoo and Threepio be the next CGI characters.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Caligula-esque orgy will not take place in Episode II. The 'Naboo Offensive' was scrapped there was not enough time to create an adequate number of CGI participants.

One of my associates, Lord Tilson, sent in this bit of information. I will warn you now, this is a spoiler of the Nth degree, so you will have to highlight between the quotes to read it.
"Anakin will become Darth Vader in Episode II or III."

In other news, Darth Sidious will blow up Naboo in an attempt to kill Amidala.

David Duchovny has indeed turned down an offer to be in Episode III. Don't believe the press releases, the deal fell through when it became apparent that Emperor Palpatine would not be the Cigarette Smoking Man.

Jar-Jar the Mack? Based on the storyboards I saw, it appears that Jar-Jar has become quite the ladies man since Episode I.

All dialogue in Episode II which is spoken in English will be subtitled in Basic. Looks like it is time to find those free/shareware Basic fonts and brush up.

Be on the lookout for the Sith "rule of two" to be broken as Darth Sidious opens up Sith Recruiting Centers throughout the galaxy in hopes of luring in more disciples.

Lucas was so disgusted by the amount of leaked information from the set that he is looking into using R2 units for the shooting of Episode III.

Filming nearly came to a complete stop last week, but Lucasfilm and the L.O.G (Loyal Order of the Gungan) came to terms on a new contract for the duration of filming. Things surely would have gotten tense if Lucas would have went with non-union Gungans.

Current working title for Episode II is "Dances with Banthas."

Plans are in the works for Jenna Jameson, adult film superstar, to play a "Sith Seductress" in Episode II or III. Insiders at LFL say they are very impressed with the variety of roles she has portrayed in the past.

Episode II may have a Monty Python feel to it as John Cleese and Eric Idle are in talks with Lucas for cameo appearances. The Royal Daily Sun Times is reporting that Lucas feels the inclusion of Cleese & Idle will take the comedy pressure off of Artoo, Threepio, and Jar-Jar Binks.

It has been announced that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be used in a cantina-like scene in Episode II. The following excerpt from an interview with ABC News has been attributed to George Lucas:

..I'm really excited that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have accepted this cameo, I've been a big fan for years, not only will their incredible talent add spice to episode 2, but they are also very exotic-looking, thereby defeating the need for any extensive make-up or CGI enhancement..

A LFL insider has informed me that John Cleese is slated to play Bail Antilles. In a shocking plot twist, it will be revealed that Antilles is the real adoptive father of Princess Leia and is secretly murdered by Bail Organa.

Be on the lookout for Kevin Sorbo to play the role of Palbacca, a Wookie prince, in Episode II.

Terence Stamp will not be reprising his role as Valorum in Episode II. One Skywalker Ranch employee stated that Stamp was not pleased with either of the two scenes he was offered if he would reprise his role:

While fanboys have been floating rumours around that all the foodservers and waitresses has something to do with Lord of The Rings, they are in fact Lucas' way of paying homage to one of his earlier works, American Graffiti.

Look for Darth Maul and Qui-Gon to return in Episode II as spirits. They will be singing a Force version of Ebony & Ivory.
